Crandall Farms products are not always available year round due to seasonal harvesting and availability of materials such as beeswax for making lotions, lip balms and more.
Crandall Farms Honey is local to the Quad Cities, IL and IA regions. It is harvested multiple times a year, providing a different seasonal quality and color. This honey is considered wildflower honey due to the nectar sources being whatever flowers are blooming at the time of collection. Typical flower sources include but are not limited to: apple blossoms, cherry blossoms, dandelions, clover, locust flowers, goldenrod, lilacs, coneflower, Queen Anne ’s lace, lilies, creeping Charlie, daisies, pear blossoms, and many more.
All sizes may not always be available.

Honey straws are plastic straws filled with flavored honey. They can have the ends snipped off to release the honey, which can then be stirred into tea or coffee or eaten like a pixie stick. Honey straws are typically not locally produced and aside from a few varieties contain an added flavor and/or color. Local Crandall Farms honey straws may be part of the future of Crandall Farms but due to the required equipment and production needs, we are currently unable to produce them ourselves. We do occasionally produce small batches which may be a seasonal offering.
Flavors may be seasonal and not always available:
Crandall Farms beeswax is produced from the left over frames after the honey harvest. The empty comb is melted down and strained repeatedly to produce the clear yellow wax with low levels of impurities. The wax smells like the hive and the honey it housed.
